Less than two weeks after the inauguration of a new daily non-stop flight between Tokyo and Brussels, aviation enthusiasts and Star Wars fans were treated to a very nice surprise on Wednesday 4th November 2015, as All Nippon Airways (ANA) flight NH231 NRT-BRU was operated with Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner JA873A nicknamed ‘R2-D2 ANA JET’.
The aircraft wears a striking Star Wars livery and was nicknamed ‘R2-D2 ANA JET’. It is the first of three ANA aircraft to wear a special Star Wars livery.
Two days later, on Friday 6th November 2015, ANA flight NH231 was again operated with the ‘R2-D2 ANA JET’.
