Now, let’s get started by reviewing some of my Flickr photos I uploaded in June 2018, shall we?

• Subject: ISS Solar Transit
• Location: Kontich, Belgium
• Date & Time: June 20th 2018 – 12:12 LT
• Equipment: Canon EOS 7D Mk II | Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USM | Lowepro Flipside 400 AW | Baader Solar Filter
• Camera Settings: 400mm | 1/1600s | f/9.0 | ISO200
• Comments: After planning this shot for more than one year, I finally managed to get a perfect (composite) shot of the International Space Station (ISS) transiting the solar disk over Kontich, Belgium at an altitude of 481 km. Also visible in this picture are (from left to right) NOAA AR (Active Region) 2715, AR 2713 and AR 2714. When this photo was taken, all three active regions were classified as Beta regions (Mount Wilson magnetic classification system). AR 2713 consisted of 2 sunspots, AR 2714 of 5 sunspots and AR 2715 of 4 sunspots.

• Location: Brussels Airport (BRU/EBBR)
• Date & Time: June 6th 2018 – 18:54 LT
• Equipment: Canon EOS 7D Mk II | Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USM | Lowepro Flipside 400 AW
• Camera Settings: 400mm | 1/640s | f/8.0 | ISO100
• Comments: Landing RWY 01. Flight HAWK15 ADW-BRU. Carrying United States Secretary of Defense James N. Mattis to Brussels for a meeting of the NATO Defence Ministers in preparation of the NATO summit of July 2018.

• Subject: USA-Air Force Boeing E-4B 73-1676
• Location: Brussels Airport (BRU/EBBR)
• Date & Time: June 6th 2018 – 18:54 LT
• Equipment: Canon EOS 7D Mk II | Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USM | Lowepro Flipside 400 AW
• Camera Settings: 400mm | 1/640s | f/8.0 | ISO100
