A Brief Look At My Flickr Photos – November 2020

• Subject: Sun With AR 2781
• Location: Mechelen, Belgium
• Date & Time: November 4th 2020 – 12:37 LT
• Equipment: Canon EOS 7D Mk II | Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USM | Lowepro Flipside 400 AW
• Camera Settings: 400mm | 1/320s | f/8.0 | ISO100
• Comments: The Sun as seen through a Mylar filter, designed for solar observing. Clearly visible in this picture is NOAA AR (Active Region) 2781. When this photo was taken, AR 2781 was classified as a Beta region (Mount Wilson magnetic classification system) and consisted of 6 sunspots. On November 3rd, the group produced a minor C1-class solar flare. A pulse of UV radiation from the flare briefly ionised Earth’s upper atmosphere, causing a low-frequency radio blackout over the Indian Ocean.

• Location: Brussels Airport (BRU/EBBR)
• Date & Time: November 7th 2020 – 15:27 LT
• Equipment: Canon EOS 7D Mk II | Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USM | Lowepro Flipside 400 AW
• Camera Settings: 400mm | 1/500s | f/8.0 | ISO160
• Comments: Takeoff RWY 25R. Flight SN291 BRU-ACC.

• Subject: Sichuan Airlines Airbus A330-343 B-5923
• Location: Brussels Airport (BRU/EBBR)
• Date & Time: November 20th 2020 – 12:18 LT
• Equipment: Canon EOS 7D Mk II | Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USM | Lowepro Flipside 400 AW
• Camera Settings: 190mm | 1/640s | f/8.0 | ISO100
• Comments: Takeoff RWY 25R. Flight 3U3830 BRU-CTU. Special Wuliangye livery. Cargo only flight.
